This time of year, I always feel helpless when it comes to shoes. As a size 11, I often have a hard time finding styles I love and are functional. I need my shoes to be functional and fashionable- you’ll rarely see me in uncomfortable heels. As a model, I wear uncomfortable shoes for a living so I need my shoes to be on point! I’ve decided to round up a bunch of my favorite (and affordable) shoes for the season! Many of you have asked for boots, functional flats and wide width options. I’ve linked a bunch, so happy shopping!
If you don’t see anything you like and need help finding a specific pair, feel free to leave a comment or shoot me a message. I’m happy to help in any way that I can. After all, I know all too well that the shoe struggle can be REAL.
OVER THE KNEE BOOTS
My favorite places to shoe shop: Nordstrom Rack, Nordstrom, DSW, Zappos and Haute Look. Some of my favorite brands (linked above) are Franco Sarto, Madewell, Sam Edelman, Dolce Vita, Aerosoles, Tory Burch, ASOS, Rebecca Minkoff and Kate Spade. Are there any that I missed? Leave your favorite size inclusive shoe suggestions below!
Happy #TryOnConfidential! By popular request, I’ve compiled a bunch of my fall favorites under $100 - many under $50 that are must-haves this season to freshen up your wardrobe! Stay tuned for my IG stories today to see how I style these items to keep my fall wardrobe looking fresh and put together. Any items you’ve been dying to try?
If you are in a fitting room or happen to purchase any of these items, I’d LOVE if you could use the #TryOnConfidential hashtag in your stories or posts! Did you love this Try On? Leave a comment below!
This week’s Try On Confidential is a reader’s choice: ASOS! I’m really excited about this one. Just so you know, I read every message and piece of feedback that you give me- it is very much appreciated! ASOS has been one of those brands that I’ve always admired from afar. I find myself scrolling through their website often and asking people “where’d ya get that?” with them replying “ASOS!” But I’ve never actually gone through with ordering from them… until this week!
They literally have something for everyone. ASOS is incredibly size inclusive for men + women (regular, petite, plus and tall). Their price range is pretty great too - you can find low to medium priced items. They offer clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty and gifting. Two thumbs up!
I reached out to ASOS and told them about my Try On Confidential series and they were kind enough to send me six items, which will be featured on my IG stories. I’ve been getting a few requests for accessories so I decided to try a few of those too! Here are my six picks + some other things I’m loving off of their site lately. All images are shoppable, you can click them and it’ll bring you directly to the site!
Have you ever shopped ASOS? Are you willing to now? Leave your comments below!

This week’s Try On Confidential decision to feature Rent The Runway was fueled around this pretty red dress that I wore to my Sonoma trip last week. I’ve seriously never received so many messages about a dress before, I knew I needed to feature it this week. I’ve been a longtime Rent the Runway fan, using it as my go-to for special events. It’s so easy- they send you the items with a pre-paid UPS label and you send back the worn clothes when you’re done with them. Ship them back and they take care of cleaning the items too! Stay tuned for my IG stories to see more about the process.
They’ve recently launched their Unlimited program where you can rent 4 items on rotation and swap them as often as you’d like for $159 a month. It is the smarter, better, more thrilling way to access the fall fashion of your dreams without the typical drawbacks of seasonal transition - shopping trips, closet restocking, unpredictable weather and, worst of all- overspending. I told them I was doing this and they were kind enough to offer my readers an exclusive code for 40% off your first month of membership (cancel anytime btw)!
Use “CARALYNPERK40” for 40% off, sign up here!
Here are the four items I was able to rent, I rented with the intentions of my Sonoma trip and an upcoming wedding! Check out my stories to see how these items look on + what sizes I wore. As always, the links are all shoppable- you can shop these items directly from this page!
Happy Friday! I am beyond excited to keep this try on series going, the response from last week was incredible. As we keep this going, I will definitely fine tune the process. Keep the requests coming, I love hearing what you are shopping for! This week, I am featuring an oldie- Abercrombie & Fitch. Hear me out here- I could never fit into A&F when I was younger, I barely squeezed into their XL in 8th grade. After searching the web I kept coming across items from them and finally, I caved. They seem to have really reinvented themselves, with minimal logos and better sizing. I ordered a bunch of things and decided to do a try on haul for you all. The prices are also incredibly reasonable- especially with this weekend's sale!
A couple things to note:
- Their sizing is still a tad wonky. I am a true 14, I fit into their largest size denim (32W) but sometimes I wear large's in their bottoms. Some of their stretchy bottoms can fit a 16. For the most part, I'm a large in their clothing. Occasionally I will buy an XL, some of the oversized sweaters I've purchased a medium. My best advice: order a few sizes and try them out. It takes some time to find your fit but once you do - I promise you won't be disappointed.
- Join their *free* A&F Club - you get exclusive offers, earn points on every purchase and access to exclusive sales.
- I'm really impressed with their quality, their sales are awesome so I feel like these items are a great value. Other than them not being 100% size inclusive, I feel like they're a gem!
Be sure to tune into my IG stories to see how these items fit on me. I've also added a few other styles that would be great to freshen up your fall wardrobe! Leave a comment below on what styles you're loving.
I absolutely love when I get requests from you- whether its email, comments or direct messages. It makes me feel like I am your "go-to girl" on all things. I love that so many of you can relate to my curvy size 14 figure, so much so that you like seeing clothes on me before you buy them. That's why I've decided to launch a weekly series where I will be buying and trying items from different stores. I will be categorizing them by stores and items. Each week, I'll be showing you how they look on me and giving you my honest feedback. I hope to develop this idea into some sort of hashtag so you can use it too when you buy and try the items I've suggested. As always, I'm open to all of your feedback so feel free to leave a note below on which store or items you'd like to see next!
This week's pick: H&M
H&M is always a favorite but their sizing can be a little crazy. However, I noticed that they have taken strides to improve their sizing. I would say that their sizing is much more accurate, if anything it runs large. I wear a size 14 or 12 in most of these items. Be sure to check out my IG story for a better idea of how they fit! All of the images below are shoppable - feel free to click and shop the looks directly from here.
Spring is finally here! I've been getting a bunch of requests for casual & special event dresses so I decided to do a little round up of my favorite dresses. As always, you can shop the looks by clicking on the images or links directly! Be sure to check out my IG story today for a few additional looks that are on major sale.
A few weeks ago I did a try on haul from my latest Old Navy finds! I live in these dresses all summer long. They are so easy to throw on- dress up or dress down for a perfect everyday look.
These are a few of my favorite dresses that are perfect for a daytime affair: showers, graduations, parties, etc!
Fun fact: did you know that black tie affairs don't necessarily mean you need to wear a floor length gown? A dress that hits at or just below the knee can still be formal! It really all depends on the style and fabric, in my opinion. Accessories can also really help!
All White Everything
As a bride to be, I definitely have an addition to LWD's this season but I feel like they are just such a classic look! I will definitely be re-wearing post-wedding (but definitely not to other people's weddings!)
As you may see, I've only selected a few brands here. I find myself staying loyal to brands when I find my perfect fit. When it comes to sizing, I get a bunch of questions so I thought I would let you know what I am in hopes of helping you find your fit! I love these brands because they are extremely consistent in their sizing- so I can always count on things fitting true to size.
What are you shopping for this season? Do you think any of these dresses would work for you? Leave a comment below!
It's been a busy week of work and travel over here, which is why I haven't been as active this week online! But that's alright, real life happens and we gotta roll with it. I wanted to round up my favorite looks that have been helping me survive this awfully cold winter we're having and some looks I'm really looking forward to wearing in the spring. I'll be showcasing a few of these items on my Instagram story today, so be sure to check that out! Not sure if you've had a chance to check out my new Highlights on my profile, but I've saved a number of my most popular stories on there. Here are a few brands that I've been loving lately and are keeping me on point (does anyone say 'on point' anymore?) throughout these winter months:
As always, the images and font in bold are clickable- which means you can shop directly from this post!
Okay, I'll admit it. My MOM told me about Boden and it's safe to say I'm OBSESSED! She wore a coat over to my house one day and I tried to steal it... They're a UK based company founded on the principle of stylish clothes that look great and never stint on quality. I typically don't splurge on items like this but I was incredibly impressed with their quality and 365 day return policy... and they've been having a serious sale, items are 40-70% off! So I just had to try them out and I've been blown away with what I got! I've ordered quite a few things and I am in love, I consider these items investment pieces- knowing that I will have them for a long time. For reference, I think they run pretty TTS (true to size) I've been ordering my usual 14 and everything has fit perfectly!
Eliza J is my GIRRRRRL! I'm not sure if she actually exists, but I am seriously in LOVE with this brand. You've seen me in their dresses quite a few times now, I cannot get enough! I also love how on trend and current they are. Another reason why I love the brand is because they are size inclusive, they are always offering styles from sizes 0 to 24! Here are a few dresses that I just got and cannot wait to wear! A few of them are on sale so swipe them up before they're gone!
I think my Bauble Bar earrings have become my signature thing. You know what's the funny part? I love to throw on a pair of fun BB earrings out of pure laziness because I'm not very good at accessorizing so it's just an easy way to pump up any look! I get asked all of the time where my earrings are from and 99.9% of the time, they're from Bauble Bar! These are a few pairs that I splurged on lately that I am loving! They're having a major sale this weekend, including an extra 15% off of sale so if you're looking for a refresh in your jewelry game, be sure to check them out!
A few weekends ago, I did a full Instagram story about my CO2 Lift mask experience. In case you missed it, I saved it as a highlight on my profile titled "CO2 Lift." They agreed to let me do a monthly review of their famous mask, which is INCREDIBLE by the way. This weekend only, they're offering $20 OFF if you use the code "CARALYN20" - which NEVER happens (it's usually only $10!) so if you've been thinking about trying it out, now is the time!
As a member of their auto-ship "Glowing Skin" program, every month you will enjoy the comfort of having your CO2Lift delivered straight to your door for just $59.95. That’s 30% off their regular price for their most devoted customers!
If that wasn’t enough, as a gift, they will send you a “starter pack” which includes an additional CO2Lift treatment and a bottle of our hyaluronic serum. That’s two CO2Lift masks and one bottle of hyaluronic serum for $95.00! ($229.95 worth of product)
Then for $59.95 per month, a single pack of CO2Lift will be delivered straight to your door.
Their single pack with one mask is usually $85.00 so at $59.95 is a real savings! But if you just want to try it, the $20.00 off would make the starter pack $75.00 for 2 masks and a hyaluronic serum!
I hope you enjoyed what I've been loving lately, would love to hear in the comments which items you're most interested in trying! Wishing you a fabulous weekend and happy shopping! Many of these sales end soon so be sure to check them out.

Happy Friday! Ready or not, the holiday season is here. I cannot believe it is December 1st! I am always excited for the holiday's, but this year especially! Last night on my Instagram Stories, I asked and you voted that you wanted to see some holiday style! It was a 50/50 split between holiday party looks and holiday date night looks so I thought I'd show you a little bit of both! It is very important to me to highlight brands that are SIZE INCLUSIVE- meaning they have a wide range of sizes for EVERY body!
If you are looking for a fabulous holiday party dress, you have to check out Eliza J dresses. I've selected a few of my favorites! I love how inclusive their sizing is- ranging from 0 to 16 and then plus sizes! I have quite a few of these dresses and I'm always so impressed with the quality and fit. You will not be disappointed.
Get Your Party Pants On: Old Navy
Old Navy has been my go-to lately for all things! Their pants are also incredible. I love their fit and often times I even have to size down in their pants- which NEVER happens! Major props to Old Navy for no separating their regular & plus sizing. They offer 00 to 20 on the same product page! Another bonus: most of them are under $30!
I am proud to say that I've inherited my love for coats from my mother- she has closets full of beautiful coats. ASOS has been an incredible retailer supporting a large range of sizes, check out these gorgeous coats. BEST PART: some of these are up to 30% off, no code needed!
If you haven't already heard of BaubleBar- I'm about to change your life! I am constantly amazed by their fun, trendy, yet timeless pieces. What's a holiday season without a little holiday sparkle? These are a few of my favorite pieces right now! They make fabulous gifts too! BEST PART: Everything on their site is 25% until December 8th using code GIFT25
I've been shopping at DSW since as long as I can remember! It is one of the only places that I can find size 11 shoes. They also carry wide width and wide calf styles. Cute boots are a must-have this season, especially with all of your holiday looks! These are a few of my favorite styles this season.
Wrapping up this list with an essential- lip color! I always forget to put lip color on until I'm in the car and scrambling through my purse to find something. Lips complete the look and make me feel put together. Here are a few of my favorites this season! BEST PART: some lipsticks are up to 50% off this weekend, no code needed!
What are your favorites from this list? Would you like to see more of these round ups? Your feedback means everything to me! Hope this helps.
Happy Cyber Monday, everybody! The best Monday of the year - am I right? I've never done a Cyber Monday roundup before, so this post is extra exciting for me!
