Inside Camille’s Nursery: A Green Baby Girl Nursery Reveal
Welcome to
Camille’s Nursery
When I found out we were having a daughter, I knew one thing immediately… I wanted a green nursery.
I love all things feminine, but I also knew I didn’t want to go the traditional blush-everything route. If you’ve been around for a while, you probably remember Conrad’s black-and-white modern nursery, so I wanted Camille’s room to feel just as special while having a completely different personality.
I kept coming back to the idea of rich green walls with soft pops of blush pink, but finding the green (and the wallpaper) proved to be harder than I expected. Thankfully, Michael P. Design of MichaelPDesign.com came to the rescue. He introduced me to the wallpaper… hilariously named Crane Fonda, and from there everything fell into place. We color-matched the remaining walls in Benjamin Moore’s Lehigh Green, and it ended up being exactly the warm, saturated shade I had envisioned. The wallpaper adds just enough whimsy without competing with the rest of the room, and I love how it makes the space feel cozy while still feeling fresh.
Before we dive into all the details, here’s where we started. This room originally functioned as a three-person office, so transforming it into Camille’s nursery took a lot of vision (and a whole lot of furniture moving!). I somehow can’t find my original before photos, so these are screenshots from a video I’ll be sharing later, but they still give you a good idea of just how much this space changed.
Before
After
When it came to furniture, we were lucky enough to partner with Pottery Barn Kids again. Since the walls were already making such a statement, I wanted the furniture to feel timeless. We chose light oak pieces that brighten the room and balance all of the deeper green tones. I also love that these are pieces she’ll be able to grow with for years instead of feeling like “baby furniture.”
With the larger furniture pieces selected, the rest of the room came together through thoughtful layering. I wanted every piece to feel intentional, balancing function with personality. The dressernow serves as a changing station and will transition to everyday storage as Camille grows, while the glider has already become one of the hardest-working pieces in the room. One thing I recommend to every new parent: don’t skip the ottoman, even if your glider reclines. It might sound redundant, but having a dedicated place to rest your feet while you’re rocking, feeding, or contact napping is so much more comfortable than being reclined all the time, and I find myself using the ottoman constantly. We finished everything off with soft textiles like the pink scalloped rug, lighting, books, and decorative accentson the wall that make the nursery feel collected, cozy, and lived-in rather than overly “baby.”
One of my favorite little details is the blush floral sconces. They’re functional, but they almost feel like little pieces of artwork on the walls and tie in the pink accents throughout the room without making the space feel overly sweet. You can browse more details about the room here.

The Curtains (and My Biggest DIY Win)
If there was one moment that almost sent me over the edge during this room makeover, it was the curtains. I was quoted over $6,000 for custom pinch-pleat drapery that was blackout and ceiling-mounted. Beautiful? Absolutely. In my budget? Absolutely not.
Instead, I spent some time researching, ordered these ones on Amazon, and DIY’d the entire project myself for under $1,200. They give the room that custom, designer look at a fraction of the cost, and honestly, it really transformed the space and provided blackout curtains on the door to the outdoor patio. If you’re decorating a room and have sticker shock from custom window treatments, let this be your sign that there are some really good options out there. Here’s how I ordered them: Customizations - Ivory white fabric, ceiling mount, inflexible track, track length custom measurements, single panel on the door, pair on the window, 240gsm 100% blackout, no tieback, yes to memory-shaped.
You can watch the process as we put the curtains up on my Instagram here!
baby girl things
One thing I wasn’t prepared for? Just how many questions I’d get about all the little girl accessories! The bow organizer has easily been one of the most requested links. I’ve started a collection of all of my favorite baby girl finds, from bows and organization to everyday accessories, and I’ll keep updating it as we discover more favorites.
