What to Wear in Las Vegas: Outfit Ideas & Packing Tips

What I Wore In Vegas:

Poolside, Game Day, & Dinners Out

The Bills brought us to Vegas, and you know I wasn’t going to miss an opportunity for a few outfit changes. Between pool time, shopping, dinners, and cheering on our team, there was a little bit of everything to pack for. I love an excuse to have fun with my style, but comfort is always coming with me. Here’s what I wore, plus a few packing tips I’m always reminded of in Vegas.

A Few Things I’ve Learned About Dressing for Vegas

Pack a layer. Yes, Even for Vegas!

Check the evening temperatures, too! Between cooler nights and aggressive casino air conditioning, you’ll be happy you brought a light jacket, blazer, or sweater. I’ve packed like it’s 100 degrees around the clock before, and I do not recommend it.

Dress for your plans… and yourself!

You’ll see sequins next to sweats pretty much everywhere. There’s no single “Vegas look” you need to pack for, so take your plans into account and wear what makes you feel good. Going all out can be fun, but you don’t have to.

Bring Shoes You Already Trust

“It’s right over there” means absolutely nothing in Vegas. Between the giant hotels and all the stops along the way, the steps add up quickly. I still wear heels, but only pairs that have already earned my trust.

POOLSIDE Looks

We visited toward the end of pool season, so we spent more time lounging in the sun than actually getting in the water. Still a good excuse to break out the swimsuits and cover-ups!

I love a one-piece with a fun detail, paired with breezy pants or a matching cover-up that works for coffee or brunch, too. You’ll likely walk through the lobby or casino on your way to the pool, so having something easy to throw on is helpful.

If you’re shopping for a suit, my annual swimwear guide has plenty of personally tested options, including supportive bikinis, one-pieces, and size-inclusive brands I love.

evening looks + Game DAY

Dinner in Vegas is always a fun excuse to dress up. A little sparkle, a bold color, or a fun accessory can make the look, and I loved having a reason to pull out a few dressier pieces on this trip. Comfortable shoes still made the cut, we rarely head straight back after dinner.

Travel With Style + Comfort

An easy waistband, comfortable shoes, and an extra layer… that’s my airport formula. Bonus points for pieces I can wear again during the trip.

Where we Stayed, Ate & Wandered:

We stayed at The Cosmopolitan, still my favorite location on the Strip, though it’s felt a little more worn and tired on recent visits. We booked daybeds at Boulevard Pool all weekend and enjoyed some time in the sunshine.

A few other stops from this trip:

Mizumi at Wynn: A dinner we loved, we did the tasting menu, vibe and service!

Alexxa’s: A solid Saturday brunch, get the Colossal Bloody Mary or bottomless mimosas

Bazaar Meat: We’d been to the previous location four-plus times, so we had to check out the new space in the Venetian. It was phenomenal!

Allegiant Stadium: For the Bills game, followed by a leisurely walk back toward the Cosmo with stops along the way.

The Chandelier Bar at the Cosmo: Always a favorite and a must-stop for us.

My Vegas Guide has more recommendations from previous trips if you’re planning a visit!

Thanks for reading!

Whether you’re heading to Vegas for football, a weekend with friends, or a little of everything, I hope this gives you some packing inspiration. Bring shoes you trust and leave room for something fun!

Which outfit is your favorite? And if you’ve traveled for a Bills game, tell me where! I always love finding a little Buffalo wherever we go.
