4 Ways to style

There’s nothing better than a fresh, crisp pair of white denim. You can go ahead and throw that rule of “no white denim before Memorial Day” right out the window, as they can be worn year-round. The key is all in the styling, making sure your look is seasonally and weather-appropriate. White denim is one of my favorite go-to styles, so I thought it’d be fun to share a fresh assortment of my white denim picks (non-maternity and a few maternity options) and a few ideas that work well for styling. You’ll notice that some of my favorite ways to style are with denim jackets, you can find some of my favorites here and moto jackets that I previously shared here! Let’s get into it.

STYLE WITH

More Denim + Monochrome

Denim on denim is a big yes, I personally like to make sure the shades I’m mixing have a bit of contrast, as shown here. You could swap the denim shirt for a denim jacket, too! I kept it monochromatic with a white tank and white denim and paired it with a pop of color with shoes!

STYLE WITH

Utility Jacket + Stripes

Utility jackets will forever be a wardrobe staple for me, I’ve had one in my closet since high school. They are great transitional jackets for spring and fall, paired with a classic stripe. This look feels seasonless (feel free to swap out the shoe for something more casual or closed-toe to make it work-friendly).

STYLE WITH

Pops of Color

Don’t be afraid to mix seasonal colors! You can go as bright or more pastel, depending on your preferred shades. The white jean can be treated as your neutral and you can let the other colors in your outfit be the star of the show!

Classic Black

There’s just something that’s effortlessly cool about a moto jacket. They are easy to add to any outfit, including dresses! Here you can see more ways I like to style them. This look could work from day to night!

what about underwear?

When you’re wearing lighter-colored fabrics, you may want to pay closer attention to your undergarments. Beige/neutral tones work well underneath white as well as red! It may seem wild but try it and report back, it works! I also can’t recommend Soma’s Vanishing Edge panties enough; they have been an absolute game-changer for me. They have a silicone edge that lays completely flat underneath clothes. Don’t believe me? Watch this video of me wearing them underneath thin workout leggings. I also like Chantelle’s SoftStretch panty, and have been wearing those through the majority of my pregnancy. They’re one-size (up to 14), which was terrifying initially, but they work! They also come in 1X-4X here. They feel you’re not wearing anything and have a pretty flat seam.
