My Tried & True Skincare & Hair Masks

In the age of social distancing, I’ve found myself tinkering with skincare more than ever- anyone else? Thought it’d be fun to round up my favorite masks! Did you know that there are five different types of masks? I found this post helpful on learning more about the different types but in short we have:

| CREAM | CLAY | GEL | SHEET | EXFOLIATING |

Each type of mask has their own benefit but consider all of them an extra dose of love to your skin. Depending on the mask you choose, I’d say it’s good to use a mask once a week. I’ve been rotating through different masks about 2-3x a week lately because I’ve got nothing but time and my skin is LOVING me for it. Here are a few of my favorites, you can click on the images below to shop and see explanations on which type of mask it is and why I love to use it!

Another mask I meant to include in my graphic is the CO2LIFT Carboxy Treatment Mask, I originally discovered it three years ago from Mallory Ervin who would get it done at her dermatologist’s office. They figured out a way to package it so you can do it at home. It’s great to do before special events (like weddings, parties, etc) because you are seriously glowing for days! The mask improves the skin's elasticity without the invasive procedure with an innovative gel-mask treatment that is gentle enough to apply even on your eyelids and under eye. It improves radiance immediately after application by conditioning skin with intense hydration and boosting moisture retention- safe for all skin types and during pregnancy. It’s a little pricey for a one-time mask but considering all that it does, it’s pretty incredible. I’m pretty sure my code CARALYN still works for a small discount if you’d like to try.

HAIR MASKS:

Back in November I toured the Living Proof headquarters and they were about to launch their new line of hair masks. It’s safe to say, I’m a believer! These masks are truly my favorite and low maintenance. However, Colleen Rothschild just came out with her line of hair masks and they are pretty great too, especially for damaged hair.
