How To Shop Tops For Leggings

Hello, my friends! Back at it to share an updated version of one of my most popular posts from earlier this year, Tops for Leggings! As a general rule of thumb while wearing leggings, I like to cover at least half of my bum. Of course, that’s just my personal preference — some people like to wear crop tops with leggings and others like to have their bums fully covered. Either way, the only rule I have around here is to wear what makes you feel good. Now, you may have already found your favorite leggings. I don’t think I would’ve survived quarantine without these cotton leggings (plus sizing here), I wear them at least once a week (size large) and not enough people know about them! But this post is about tops, so I’ll stay on track here…

A general search term I like to use when looking for longer length tops is “tunics” — often times I’ll find some good options by using that. I also look for “split hem” tops like this, this and this option. Like most things, finding tops that are long enough for your comfort level require a little trial and error. I also love sweaters like this for when you want to layer with a shirt underneath. Here are a few of my go-to brands when shopping for legging friendly tops (you can click to shop):
