How We Celebrated Baby Girl: A Valentine’s Day Sprinkle Recap
Welcome to My
Galentine’s Sprinkle
When I first got pregnant with our baby girl, I truly didn’t think I was going to have a sprinkle. Second baby. Busy toddler. Third-trimester exhaustion. It felt easy to say, “We don’t need to do anything this time around.”
But if I’m being honest, part of my hesitation came from the fact that this pregnancy has felt bittersweet in a lot of ways. There have been moments of so much excitement, dreaming about who she’ll be, picturing Conrad as a big brother, but also moments where I’ve deeply felt the absence of my friend Kelly, who I know would’ve been such a big part of this season.
The more I sat with it, the more I realized this baby girl (and this chapter) still deserved to be celebrated. So what started as “maybe just a small Valentine’s brunch” slowly turned into a very pink, very detailed, very love-filled sprinkle with some of my closest friends and family. Yes… There were a lot of balloons. I have no regrets.
It ended up being the sweetest morning/afternoon, full of love, support, and the kind of energy that reminded me how lucky we are to have such an incredible village around us… both present and in spirit. Today I’m sharing a look at all the details from the day, from the brunch setup to the decor, florals, dessert table, and all the special touches that made it feel so meaningful. Let’s dig into the details that made this day feel so special.
Due to scheduling conflicts, the only date that really worked ended up being Valentine’s Day, so we decided to fully lean into the theme and turn it into a Valentine’s / Galentine’s celebration centered around love, friendship, and (of course) a little girl power. The main focal point of the room, courtesy of Little Finch Co., was the balloon/backdrop. I was set on having one long table for everyone, even if that meant we had to get a little creative with a T-shape configuration to make it work in the space.
From there, we layered in sweet, girly details to complete the look and really pull the whole room together. We also encouraged guests to lean into the theme by wearing pinks and reds, which made the room feel even more festive and cohesive!

With the overall layout in place, we focused on layering in the table details that would bring everything to life. Fairy Cakes absolutely dreamed up the most beautiful dessert table, filled with on-theme treats and the sweetest little nods to Baby K. Anthropologie kindly gifted the candlesticks, which I paired with my go-to taper candles and wax adapters for a soft, romantic glow.
Our event coordinator, Julianna, was generous enough to let us borrow her mismatched vintage floral plates, along with silk pink napkins and napkin holders folded into bows, details that perfectly tied the whole tablescape together.
And of course, Michael from The Plot delivered on florals, creating arrangements that felt perfectly girly and feminine without being too on-the-nose for Valentine’s Day.
For food, we served a buffet-style brunch complete with a mimosa and Bloody Mary bar, plus coffee, tea, and juices for guests to enjoy throughout the morning. We also incorporated a few light games that didn’t disrupt the flow of the party, including “leave baby advice” cards, a guess-the-candies-in-the-jar station, and a little scavenger hunt where I hid tiny baby figurines around the room for my nieces to find (which they loved).
The glam photo booth from @bflophotobomb was another highlight, always such a hit and a fun little keepsake for guests to take home. For favor bags, Rifle Paper Co. generously gifted the most beautiful notebooks and gift bags, and we added Sugarfina candy boxes gifted by Anthropologie inside as a sweet send-off.
A friend also gifted me an audio guest book where guests could pick up the phone and leave messages for Baby Girl and me. I’m saving them to listen to during those early postpartum days, I already know they’ll mean so much. The vendor was Festaparties Buffalo.
It was such a beautiful afternoon and so much fun leaning all the way into the Valentine’s theme. I’m sharing and linking more details from the day below for anyone planning a sprinkle or themed brunch of their own.
Thanks for reading!
Thank you so much for reading and following along with this special season. This Valentine’s Sprinkle ended up meaning more to me than I expected, and I’m so grateful we chose to celebrate our baby girl in this way. The final countdown to Baby K is officially on, and I’ll be sharing more soon, including my third-trimester recap, what I’m packing in my hospital bag, the nursery reveal, and everything in between.
If you’re new here or catching up, you can find more from this pregnancy journey in the Motherhood section of the blog.
And a very special thank you to the incredible vendors who helped bring this day to life, everything truly came together so beautifully.
