Before arranging your flowers, ensure you have the necessary tools on hand. These may include a sharp pair of floral scissors or shears for cutting stems, floral tape to secure arrangements in place, and a clean vase to hold your flowers. I also love these vases for smaller arrangements. Having the right tools will make the arranging process much smoother and more enjoyable.

Choose a variety of flowers:

To create a visually appealing arrangement, select a diverse mix of flowers in different shapes, sizes, and colors. Consider using a combination of “thriller” flowers (such as roses or lilies), “filler” flowers (such as baby’s breath or wax flowers), and greenery or “spiller” (such as eucalyptus or ferns) to add texture and depth to your arrangement. I like to arrange with my heart, not necessarily following any sort of rules but instead just seeing how I like it!

Oftentimes, I’ll spin the vase around and view it at all angles to see if it needs any extra love!
