what I’ve been wearing lately

This new phase of life has been a challenge when it comes to getting dressed. Sometimes I’ll pull it together with a cute dress, and sometimes pajamas are the best I can do. Regardless, I thought it’d be fun to share some of my favorite outfits that I have loved lately that make me feel put-together and confident, most being nursing-friendly but not exclusive to those who are not postpartum/nursing.

If you are nursing, I recently shared my favorite nursing bras, pajamas, and nursing items, which have been essential for me in this current phase. One thing that has remained consistent throughout my pregnancy and postpartum journey is that I have kept an open mind and not restricted myself to maternity or nursing clothing styles. Often, I was and can wear the same size or size up! Regarding nursing-friendly, I look for styles that feature smocking, buttons, zippers, and even magnetic openings up top.

 

Hatch and Storq have comfortable, functional, transitional pieces taking you from pregnancy to postpartum. They are bump and nursing friendly and great to pair with white sneakers, sandals, or mules to wear out and about. I have had some luck with Soma lately. I was already a lover of their vanishing tummy brief, I now also love their dresses and pajamas! They have some low-support built-in bras that are comfortable, I’ll wear them with these Elvie collection cups throughout the day.

Layering a nursing tank (featured here or a regular tank) with a button-up short set like this one or this one is an easy outfit to wear out running errands or around the house! I plan on incorporating some pant sets in my wardrobe as we transition to fall and cooler temperatures.
