The Friday Fit

You know what time it is! It’s time for another edition of The Friday Fit! I hope you have your favorite beverage of choice in hand as you read this. Let’s get to it.

I went to Trader Joe’s hungry… not sure if that was a good or bad thing. 😂 Stocked up on some of our favorite items like salsa, Colombian coffee, a variety of nuts, bagged salads, dips, Everything But The Bagel seasoning, frozen veggies + meals. And of course I always swipe new (to me) items when I see them like Butter Toffee Pretzels. Tell me your TJ favorites below if you have them!

Made a little fall inspired meal! I loosely follow the ingredients to this fall salad (I like to use pears) and tried this butternut squash soup recipe for the first time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a little inspiration that’s pretty easy to do!

I produced A LOT of content this week. This is usually what the aftermath looks like. I promise those vanishing Soma undies are clean. 😂

This is super random but I’ve felt like Golilocks on the hunt for the perfect medium size hair clip. Everything I’ve tried has been either too big or too small… these ones are just right. Hey— a win is a win, am I right?

Said “see you later” to my dear friend and photographer Ryan Kell before his big move to NYC. We started shooting together back in 2017 and together we’ve grown so much. He is like a brother to me and has been a huge asset to the growth of my business. I am so proud of him and know he will accomplish amazing things but I’ve been quite sad to see him go.

Before we really dive into this past week, I have to share Bonnie’s story. Kathryn Oswalt has been a longtime reader of the blog and reached out to me over the past week. Her dog, Bonnie, was severely hurt by another dog and has suffered a great amount. Some of you may vaguely remember that we had two separate incidents with Walter at the end of last year being attacked by other dogs. They were truly some of my darkest days and I can’t help but to get emotional for Kathryn and her family. If you feel inclined, check out her story and send some good vibes Bonnie’s way for a speedy recovery.

TGIF, my friends. I hope you had a good week! It went by pretty quickly for me, I stayed pretty busy with content and deadlines that were due. In case you missed it, I shared my favorite slippers / house shoes and collaborated with my good friend and wedding planner to answer your 2020-2021 wedding related questions. I shared a step by step update to my everyday makeup routine, this season’s top denim picks and how to style a turtleneck six ways. I have a few fun posts planned throughout the weekend that I am REALLY excited about but next week I plan on spending a little less time online (need to regroup + recharge personally) and professionally need to start preparing some holiday content. I LOVE preparing my gift guides to make gift giving easier for you and plan on posting MUCH earlier this year to accommodate increased shipping times.

I know I say this a lot but every single view, click, like, save, comment are so GREATLY appreciated. This year has been a doozy (in so many ways) but I thank my lucky stars that I get to call this my job and I wouldn’t be able to do so without you. So thank you for trusting me, allowing me into your lives and choosing me to be your go-to gal.

True story I have NEVER been not traveling on Halloween so we’ve never really had plans. We’re going to go over to my in-laws house for a small gathering and I can’t wait to see my niece dressed up in her costume! My sister in law said she is making mummy dogs and I’m very much looking forward to it. On Sunday I think BK will be smoking some ribs for the Bills game and I’ll probably be responsible for the corn bread. I’ve been following this recipe the past few times I’ve made it and it’s always a hit. What are you up to?

I hope you have a relaxing, fun and happy weekend. Thanks for reading! xx CMK
