Bundle Up: It's Coat Season
As much as I don’t love the winter time, I do LOVE coats/jackets… odd combo, I know. One of my most requested posts this season has been a coat guide for curvy gals! After digging through my coat rack, I decided I’d show a few of my favorite brands for all occasions - function and fashionable! I would like to go on the record here and remind people that I grew up in/live in Buffalo, NY one of the snowiest/ coldest winters so I am extremely qualified to be delivering this content! ;)
A few of my favorite size inclusive coat / jacket brands:

Pro tip: I personally love shopping coats (and all things really) at Nordstrom because of their inclusive sizing range, accurate product reviews and how easy it is to order a bunch, try a few things and return. I don’t live near a Nordstrom store, I just drop it in the mail with the prepaid label and call it a day. EASY!

Let’s start with functional / heavy duty coats:
Packable Down Coat - size large
I purchased this Bernardo Hooded Packable Down & PrimaLoft® Coat last year in soil (not available this year) and I was really impressed. I wasn’t sure how warm it would be because of how thin it was but I actually wore this all winter long and even packed it on a 12 day trip to Europe. It really does pack well and kept me warm without the added bulk. I took a size large (fits snug with sweater underneath but still comfortable).
WOOL BLEND REEFER COAT- size 14
polished/ Formal coats
Nothing makes me feel like more a boss lady than when I have a kickass wool coat to make me feel put together, sophisticated and chic. Last year, I purchased this Wool Blend Reefer Coat (shown above) and Wool Blend Bouclé Coat in a size large and I just love how it pairs with jeans to dresses and everything in between. I also splurged on this Aubrey Scalloped Houndstooth Check Coat which is a shorter option, which you don’t typically see!
WILLA TEDDY BEAR COAT - size large
Fun + Fuzzy teddy coats
This trend arrived last year and it is back in full force! At first, I wasn’t sure about it but now I can’t get enough! I received the Willa Teddy Bear Coat (sized down to a medium) and it’s a new favorite. These coats are typically very large (and cozy) so you may have to size down depending on the style so it doesn’t overwhelm your frame. They are fashionable but also EXTREMELY cozy and great for travel… I’m incredibly proud / embarrassed to say I now own three. Sorry not sorry!
