My modeling career began at the end of high school. One night, I was supposed to be working on college applications, I saw something posted online about Tyra Banks’ Fiercely Real Model Search. I submitted a picture and went back to my application. It started as a sort of joke, but then I got a message asking for more pictures. In the end, I wound up both finishing my college application on time and becoming a finalist on the show, and the journey had begun.
I started my modeling career while going to school full time at Clarkson University. I received a dual bachelor’s degree in Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Interdisciplinary Social Science with a minor in psychology. Business and psychology for short! Upon graduation, I had a choice to make. I wanted to keep pursuing my passion for modeling, but I also wanted to move back to my hometown of Buffalo. I’m a hometown girl, born and raised, and I knew that while New York can be fun, it could never really be home.
In the end, I am able to do both—I travel weekly for work, but my home base is still the city I grew up in, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. In the midst of all of it- I fell in love with guy, a house and a rescued mini-pitbull named Walter.
I’m here to show that you don’t need to give up your hometown roots to be successful and confident, and look and feel as beautiful as you are on the inside.
Early in 2017, I started to notice the importance of social media within my career as a model. I arrived to a casting and the first thing they said to me was, “how many followers do you have on Instagram?”
At the time, I just hit 10K. They laughed in my face, “you better step it up, honey.”
I decided to “learn” Instagram and grow my social media in a curated- yet thoughtful and authentic way. The influencer space is very exciting to me and I am always eager to learn more. I’ve decided to create this blog as an extension of my social media. With a more meaningful opportunity, I get to elaborate on my adventures, experiences, and things that I use & love.
The best part about my story is that it is still being written. Everyday brings a new adventure or opportunity, that’s what makes life so exciting! Thank you for following along and for your continued support on this journey!
